Sentenced to Two Concurrent Life Terms

ST. LOUIS, MO (March 4, 2024) — Graylon Lindsey, 24, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of second-degree murder in the 2022 shooting deaths of 16-year-old Kyierah Jeffries and Arriell Dixon, 25. The case had been set for trial this week in front of 22nd Circuit Court Judge Christopher McGraugh.

Lindsey admitted to shooting Dixon on May 5, 2022, in the 4200 block of Obear Avenue in the City’s Fairgrounds neighborhood. He also admitted to shooting Jeffries on May 14, 2022, in the 5900 block of Minnesota Avenue in the Carondelet neighborhood. Dixon called 911 to report being shot and provided a description of Lindsey and the car he was driving. Police later linked a Nissan spotted near the location where Dixon’s body was found to Lindsey.

Lindsey was sentenced to life in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He had originally been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. Prosecutors amended the charges to second-degree murder and dropped the two counts of armed criminal action as part of the plea agreement.

“Every violent offender we remove from the streets makes our city safer for everyone,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “But this tragic end to the lives of a teenaged girl and a young woman is a heavy burden for their families to bear.”

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Circuit Attorney Mary Pat Carl, Chief of Homicide, and Assistant Circuit Attorney Rachel Morgan.
