Documented gang member sentenced for illegally possessing firearms
May 12, 2015

A rifle, a semi-automatic pistol and a bulletproof vest  were just some of the items in the Baden home where documented gang member and convicted drug dealer Clifford Lee lived.

Now, he’ll serve time in prison for illegally owning the weapons.

Police received information that Clifford Lee was selling marijuana from a house on Ponce Avenue. Surveillance of the area showed people entering the home for a few minutes and then leaving, an action consistent with drug transactions. Lee was also seen outside the home exchanging plastic baggies for money.

A search warrant was executed and police found a rifle, a semi-automatic pistol, a large Ziploc bag of marijuana, a bulletproof vest, ammunition, an inert grenade and gang paraphernalia in Clifford Lee’s room. Lee is a documented member of the 3900 Darkside Mob and calls himself one of the LeeBoyZ. Members of that group have been involved in the drug trade and have been convicted on crimes related to distributing drugs.

Lee has previous convictions for first-degree drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and delivery/possession of a controlled substance at a jail or prison, making it illegal for him to own any firearms.

Lee, a prior and persistent offender, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of over 35 grams of marijuana last week. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
