Language from the Probable Cause Statement: The victim, Witness 1, Witness 2 and the defendant were all inside the defendant’s house in the 4300 block of Minnesota. The defendant became angry with Witness 2 and told Witness 2 to leave the residence. Witness 2 left the residence and went out to the victim’s car. A short time later, Witness 1 observed the defendant shoot the victim multiple times as the victim was sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette. The gunshots caused the death of the victim. Witness 1 fled the residence by leaving through the rear door. Witness 2 heard several shots from outside the house. After the shots, Witness 2 observed the defendant come out of the front of the house. The defendant followed Witness 2 down the street and produced a handgun.
