Language from the Probable Cause Statement: The defendant entered the home of T.W. through an unlocked door. The defendant was known to T.W. and had been to the home before. The defendant displayed a six shot silver revolver with a pearl handle and confronted T.W. and L.J.R. Several juveniles were also present in the home. The defendant pointed the gun at T.W.’s head, at which time she ran from the home. The defendant demanded that L.J.R. walk towards the front door. The defendant then ordered L.J.R. to the ground. Witnesses later heard the defendant tell L.J.R. to run. The defendant then shot L.J.R. in the upper right side of his body. L.J.R. died from that gunshot wound. [Officers] investigated several locations the defendant was known to frequent. Ultimately the defendant was located at one of those locations. When the defendant was apprehended, he was in possession of a concealed six shot silver pearl-handled revolver.
*Charges are only accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the defendant is either found guilty or has pleaded guilty.
