He walked in with what appeared to be a pizza and walked out with what didn’t belong to him.
Mark Coleman was caught red-handed on surveillance video. A St. Louis jury has now found him guilty.
It was an easy heist. As a delivery man employed at a local pizza place, Coleman already knew the entry code to a downtown apartment complex. On April 10, 2014, he walked into the building with a pizza bag in hand.
Tenants later learned their expected packages were missing.
Video revealed that Coleman had slipped the packages into his pizza bag. He later admitted to detectives on audio tape that he had also stolen packages on other occasions and traded the items for drugs.
It took the jury 30 minutes to deliberate, finding Coleman guilty of second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 9th, 2015.
