Rapist sentenced to life in prison
May 29, 2014

He claimed he would show her his recording studio. But instead, he brutally victimized the woman, in the presence of a young child.

Now, Michael Houston is behind bars, sentenced to serve life in prison.

On June 22, 2012, a woman we will call A.S. and another man met up with Houston, who introduced himself as “Buddy.”

“Lil buddy,” his five-year-old son, was in tow.

The group headed toward Houston’s home to use the recording studio inside. As A.S. played with Houston’s son, the other man and Houston walked ahead.

Before long, Houston hit the man in the face and pulled out a Taser. The man took off running.

A.S. also tried to run, but tripped and fell, injuring her elbow and knee.

Houston took A.S. into an alley, approaching the white door of a garage. Taser in hand, Houston told his son to turn around. He demanded A.S. perform sex acts.

A.S.’s blood was found by detectives on the garage door.

“The defendant is a violent sexual predator who has shown no remorse for his crimes,” Assistant Circuit Attorney Jennifer Matthew wrote in court documents. “He decided he was going to get what he wanted, no matter the cost.”

A St. Louis jury found Houston guilty of forcible rape, forcible sodomy, and kidnapping. He was sentenced to life plus 15 years in prison for his crimes.
