Keith Miller pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Friday.
On October 12, 2012, Miller was seen rolling a trash can down an alley. Inside, investigators found the body of a 26-year-old woman. An autopsy revealed the woman was killed by manual strangulation. Members of the public identified Miller as the killer after an alert was sent to the media.
Assistant Circuit Attorney Don Tyson prepared to take the case to trial. But instead, Friday, Judge Joan Moriarty accepted Miller’s guilty plea and sentenced him to 23 years in prison in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
