Verdict: Joseph Willie Horton has been found guilty of first-degree murder.

Joseph Willie Horton has been found guilty of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action.

 

On April 16, 2012, Joseph Willie Horton got into an altercation with J.N. in the Peabody, Darst, Webbe neighborhood. Later in the day, J.N. was on a porch talking to Y.G. Joseph Willie Horton began shooting at J.N. Y.G. was struck in the abdomen by a bullet and killed. G.B. was also struck in the calf by a bullet.

 

On March 13, a St. Louis jury found Horton guilty of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action. Sentencing is set in the case for May 1, 2014 in front of St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Margaret M. Neill.
