On Aug. 8, 2013, Alastair Green broke into a home in the Ville neighborhood where two individuals were inside. The individuals found Green holding a jar of change in their kitchen. When they confronted him, he left. Later, they saw that their window air conditioner had been moved and would not function.
On that same day, Green broke into another home in the Ville neighborhood and stole multiple items including family heirloom jewelry.
On Dec. 16, 2013, Green pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, stealing over $500 and second-degree property damage.
On Feb. 6, Green was sentenced to a total of nine years for first-degree burglary and second-degree property damage. Green was also sentenced to a total of nine years in the second case for second-degree burglary and stealing over $500. The sentences from each case will run concurrently with each other. St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Timothy J. Wilson imposed the sentence.
